Description of our organization


Hi and welcome to the Get A Room! organization description!

Get A Room! specializes in concert booking and production. We handle every step of the process, from talent recruitment, to production and settlement . The Get A Room! team consists of two regular employees, many contractors, freelancers, professional technicians, and a public relations team. Our production network is established in 5 cities all over the province of Quebec: Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, Sherbrooke, Rimouski and Saguenay.


Founded in 1996 and managed by Yannick Cimon-Mattar and Simon Gaudry, Get A Room! quickly made a name for itself. We set ourselves a goal while producing: to always show courtesy and professionalism. It is important to us to make sure the artists and the public feel like they are welcome and well taken care of. We work hard to gain everyone’s trust and respect. It is the basis of a strong relationship, after all.

The organization is also involved as a partner in many events. Exo Fest and Envol et Macadam, just to name a few, are two of our biggest allies. Both events have had positive outcomes year after year. We see a bright future for these two festivals and our partnership with them.

Because we are free agents, we at Get A Room! make sure we book the best venues for each band or artist. We book in 100 to 3000 capacity venues such as : the Imperial Theatre, the Anti, the College of Limoilou, Université Laval, the Velvet Nightclub, The Dagobert, The Agora de Québec, the Théatre du Petit Champlain, the Maquisart, the Nord-Ouest Café and many more, depending on artist needs and market reality.


Our mission:

Get A Room! believes that no one can reach the top without sweating water and blood. This is one of the reasons why we put in so much time and effort on emerging talent. We know that some of these artists will one day or another break through and be leaders of their generation. We booked countless great bands of today in their early days and had them playing in front of maybe one hundred kids. Just take Rise Against, Bedouin Soundclash and Planet Smashers for example; they all started small and are now selling out venues.

Of course we want to support our local scene also. We know the reality of today’s touring politics and we can deal with them. We always make sure we book the elite bands of our local scene as supporting acts in bigger shows. It has never been a problem so far and is actually quite positive . We realize that Quebec City’s crowd feels a bigger connection to a show when a local band appears on the flyer. The crowd is more supportive and this affects the outcome of the show, which in turn leads to more money in everyone’s pockets.

2006 was a great year for Get A Room! with more than 80 shows produced such as:
